EnglishThese are highly refined mineral oils to be used in electrical devices where the presence of insulating fluids is invaluable. They can be pure or inhibited.
Properties and Benefits
They feature excellent stability to oxidation , absence of corrosive sulphur compounds, low pour point, chemical inertia towards internal components of the equipment, high flash point and high dielectric rigidity.
Applications, Specifications and Approvals
They are apt for use in transformers and switches when oils with high dielectric features are required to ensure:
- electric isolation of coils
- dissipating heat generated during operation by the Joule effect
They comply to the following laws:
- DIN 51353
- IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission )
- CEI (Italian Electrotechnical Commission)
They are provided with features requested for Classes I and II.
Isolating oils are available in bulk and packaged.
